My writing – Seeker
Coming Thursday to an Amazon dot com near you:
I am proud to announce the forthcoming release of the first book of The Source Chronicles – Seeker.
Five thousand years ago, a comet was on a collision course with t’Thera. To stop it from destroying life across the planet, all of the wizards and fully realized sorcerers and sorceresses combined their power to arrest its descent, destroying themselves in the process. With their passing, no wizards would rise again, and no sorcerer would ever claim the strength of those lost in The Falling of The Skies.
One mystery from before The Falling would spark wars, and inspire adventurers for five millennia – The Source. The Source is a prophesized relic of sorcerous energies, capable of changing the destiny of the entire world. And only one will be able to wield this power – The Seeker.
The Seeker does not know that he is an agent of Order, pre-destined to overcome the forces of Chaos. He faces adversities and challenges on numerous levels, and must discover who he is in order to recover from many mistakes if he is to achieve his destiny.
The forces of Chaos are on the march. The Seeker comes to realize that if they overcome the forces of Order, his quest will fail, and the world will never know peace again.
This story began as a scene in my head in 1998. From that once character and setting, I have developed a rich fantasy world with many nuances and unique characteristics.
I completed Seeker many years ago now, and even had it professionally edited. After submitting this to numerous agents, I have decided that it is time to use the new and exciting tools available to me, and to publish this great story on my own.
Seeker is the first book in a series of five. Source Chronicles Book 2 – Finder, and Book 3 – Harbinger, are both complete, but unedited. Source Chronicles Book 4 – Guardians, is about halfway complete. Book 5 – Healers, has been partially plotted out, and I know where it will go along the way.
The world of The Source Chronicles is so rich, I have already written a short story prequel to Seeker, as well as considered a couple prequel novels covering historic events mentioned throughout the primary series.
I am very, very excited to finally be able to share this with a wide audience! Seeker is Young Adult Fantasy, suitable for not only adults, but teenagers around age fifteen and up.
Seeker will be available both in print, and for the Kindle as of Thursday, October 30th. If you have enjoyed my blog, please support my first love and get your own copy of Seeker – and tell your friends!
