Positivity: New Discoveries
There is always something new to discover.
No matter how much you know, no matter how much you have seen, no matter how many experiences you have had, there is ALWAYS something new to discover.
There is a random piece of information that you might encounter that will open new doors to your heart and mind. There is a place you have never been that will inspire you. There is a person you have never spoken to before who will present a new path. There is always something new to discover.
We get jaded by the mundane aspects of our lives. As we go through our routines day to day, we get caught up in analyzing what we have versus what we want, what we know versus what we need to know, and where we are versus where we need to be. This in turn can lead us to question if there are new experiences to be had, new worlds to be discovered, and anything at all new that might have a meaningful impact on us.
The world is staggeringly huge. There are billions of people, places both near and far you have never visited, activities you have never done, and while it may feel like you cannot afford to take the time or to visit the place or the work up the energy to meet new people, they are there.
I was out of town for one specific reason when my friend suggested we visit a place I had never been to. It was unrelated to why I had traveled, but it was nearby and something new. So we went. I saw some pretty cool sculptures based on worlds a beloved author created, and I never even knew before this day that this place existed.
It was something new, and the discovery made me happy. I shared pictures of my discovery, like I am doing here, to spread the feeling that I experienced because of this new experience. I was reminded that there is always something new to be discovered, and I cannot think of anything more positive than this sort of thing.
No matter how humdrum your life may seem at times, no matter how caught up in your day to day routines and habits, it is a positive thing to know that there is always something new to be discovered. This is a matter of positivity, and having irrefutable proof that there are always unique, different and new discoveries to be experienced.
Finding positivity is not hard, it just requires action. Knowing that no matter how much you have seen and done and learned there is always something new still out there, we can always discover something new. Discovering new things can take away negative emotions. When we take away negative emotions, we open up space to let in positive emotions, and that is something we can be grateful for. Gratitude leads to happiness. Happiness is the ultimate positive attitude. Positive attitude begets positive energy, and that is always a good thing.
This is the thirty fifth entry of my Positivity series. It is my hope these weekly messages might help spread positive energies for everyone. Feel free to share, re-blog and spread the positivity.
