Never neglect doing things that are fun. When I was between 11 and 14, I went to overnight camps in upstate New York. Sometimes we would take hiking treks offsite. On two or three occasions, we went hiking at a place called Kaaterskill Falls. I absolutely loved this hike. Self-doubt and indecision will complicate Pathwalking. I strive to be less doubtful about who I am, and to do better with making decisions about my life. Pathwalking is about choosing for myself, rather than letting random chance just happen. Yet I still question if I am deserving of this. I doubt myself, my abilities to do the things I want to do. This in turn can make me indecisive, and I get stuck in uncertainty. Self-doubt comes from many places.
Your people are a huge contributor to positivity. There is a difference between people, and YOUR people. People in the general sense of the world, like the population of the planet, can be utterly infuriating. But YOUR people are those whom you hold close. Your confidants, family, friends and loved ones. We all have individuals that improve our lives. Members of the human race that help us find calm, find happiness and peace and joy. Change is a good thing. Yet this terrifies us. Change leads to the unknown, and in our fear-based society, the unknown frightens us. I know that to some degree, this is a survival instinct. When we lived in caves, and had a limited knowledge of anything but the immediate geography, the unknown beyond was almost unimaginable. What kind of creatures are over that mountain? Because our society frequently deals in extremes, and on this scale the extremes are selfishness and selflessness.
