What Does Your End Result Look Like?

What Does Your End Result Look Like?

Finding sufficient balance of clarity and detail to manifest your reality.

end resultWhen you start down a path in life, it is usually done with an end goal in sight. But do you know what that end goal looks like?

This can be a slippery slope because while detail counts, too much detail denies the Universe its power to present you with what you desire.

Let me put a few things out there in regards to all of this, and the process of manifestation.

  1. Mindfulness is the starting point. This is being aware of what you are thinking and what and how you are feeling. That awareness opens you to being able to influence and control thoughts and feelings.
  2. Consciousness creates reality. This ties directly into mindfulness. Once you gain awareness, and influence over your thoughts and feelings you can better choose intentional actions. Intentional actions take you down your given path towards manifesting whatever goal you seek.
  3. Positivity matters. Living in a fear-based society, obsessed with seeing lack and scarcity, you need to stay positive in order to keep your energy and vibrational frequency high. That will help you navigate the inevitable twists, turns, obstacles, and other issues you will likely encounter upon your chosen path.
  4. Be present in the now. It’s too easy to become depressed about past events and anxious over future possibilities. But in the here-and-now, you have influence and control over mindfulness matters, and that can better get you to your goal.

You can’t just, as The Secret suggests, “Ask, Believe, and Receive” without taking action. You can manifest virtually anything you would desire, but not from a total void. Further, it’s important to have some definition of what the end result will look like.

Giving the end goal clarity

With most things in the Universe, you need to have some idea of what your end goal will look like…but without too much clarity and definition.

What the hell does that even mean? Ok, so let’s take my end goal for one of the paths I am currently on. I want to make my living as a writer. Ideally, I want to be a bestselling author, and as a result of that go on book-signing and speaking tours, guest lecture at colleges and universities, and make enough money to better support my household, give to charities that work to make the world a better place, and help friends with their dreams. It’s my desire to have the respect of fellow writers, as well as make a positive impact on lots of people’s lives.

There is some detail in my end goal, right? I think it could use a little more definition and clarity. How much money do I desire to make? Where do I see myself giving my talks and signing books? What impact will that have on other aspects of my life, like my medieval reenactment hobby?

All good questions I should go into and give some more detail. Yet if I get too specific, I limit the potential of what the Universe could bring me.

What is too specific?

An overly-detailed end result

What does too much clarity look like?

An example: Ideally, I want to be a bestselling author, specifically for my new sci-fi series. I want to go to San Diego ComicCon and Dragoncon to take part in panels and speak and share my process. Along the way I want Disney to buy the movie rights, and let me work on the film. I want to earn 10 million dollars, buy my wife a food truck or restaurant space, create or contribute to existing college funds for my niece and nephews, as well as my friends’ kids.

Why is this too much clarity? Because it is putting a limit on what the Universe could deliver to me. I name which specific book I want to turn into a best-seller, ignoring the rest of what I have written and am writing. I name two cons and deny the possibility of others. In naming who buys the movie rights, I close off the potential for something that could be even bigger.

Putting a number on how much I’d like to earn is not too detailed, per se, but it’s a very big and somewhat unrealistic number. Now if I were to name that number in, say, five years, it’s got more potential for ramping up.

The point here is that you do need clarity in what the end result should look like, but too much detail denies the Universe the ability to present something equal to your desire, or possibly better.

Balancing clarity and detail in the end result

It would be super cool to have Disney buy the rights to my book. But what if in limiting this to Disney I close off the potential for another big production company to buy not only the rights to this book, but to other works? What if by limiting it to a film I am denying the possibility of, say, HBO turning it into a multi-season TV series like Game of Thrones?

This is why clarity without too much detail matters. You need to have an idea for where the path will take you, but not so specific that you limit your potential.

This is also why it’s important to recognize that your path is not singular. There is more than one way to consciously create reality, and choose a direction for your life. Further, along any given path you may find detours, shortcuts, and other unexpected matters changing your path.

For example, I once wanted very much to be the person in charge of all fencing in my region of the country in my medieval reenactment society. Now, however, that idea doesn’t appeal anymore. Why? Because I found and changed my path. Still love love love fencing, still teach, help run practices and tournaments, but I don’t feel it necessary that I be the guy in charge.

Change is the one constant of the Universe. Interests, tastes, likes and dislikes change all throughout your life. As such, paths need room to change, too.

What if you don’t buy into this conscious reality creation/manifestation stuff?

A little skepticism is a good thing. It opens you up to ask questions about everything, and analyze your life, your desires, and any goals that you have.

Even if you don’t entirely buy into this stuff, do you like the idea that you have NO control over your destiny? Do you want fate, or some other unseen entity, to dictate what your life should look like?

I know some people are ok with that, but I prefer to have more influence and control over who I am and what I do. This process I share has worked for me before, and I know it can work for me again. I also know that it can work for you, too.

You are worthy and deserving of setting a goal with an end result that thrills, excites, and enlivens you. Finding sufficient balance of clarity and detail to manifest your reality, with a little skepticism, can help you achieve almost anything you desire.

What paths are you on now? What do your end goals look like?
