How Does Caring Empower?

Caring for others will always increase Positivity.

Human beings are social creatures.  Yes, there are introverts, extroverts, and ambiverts, but we all still have a basic need for some interaction.  Even the most introverted people I know still give and receive care.

Caring and empathy are connected.  I believe that every reasonable person cares when they see others hurting, whether that is hurting spiritually, emotionally or physically.  Empathizing with people going through things can build tremendous positivity.

When we express our care for others, we share with them.  Often, we wind up working together to create something powerful for the greater good.  Caring is how we build bridges, expand our knowledge and capabilities, and better ourselves and those around us.

Last week the United States had another tragic school shooting.  Most reasonable people care that this continues to be a massive problem, even though our government is turning a blind eye.  The people who care want to work to offer more than just “thoughts and prayers”, but to take actual action to ensure that this stops happening.

The survivors of that shooting are working together to change the conversation.  They are pushing to open real dialogue, and start talking about making new laws and effecting some real change.  Many others around the country, showing how much they care about this issue, are offering to support these actions by taking actions of their own.

Manifestation of anything begins with thought.  Then, we need to give it feeling.  From there, taking intentional action can allow for consciousness to create reality.  When we are all caring for one another and looking out for one another, rather than fighting against and opposing, we have the power to do truly amazing things.

Some believe caring is weakness.  They could not be more wrong.

Caring for one another builds everyone up.

Positive energies are higher frequency than negative ones.  Higher frequencies are more empowering to everyone.  Opposition and standing against people and things is often a low-vibration approach.  Empathy, unity, caring and standing for things we want to create is a high-vibration approach.  Consciousness creates reality.  When we focus on the things we don’t want, we create more of them.  Conversely, when we focus on what we DO want, we create more of that.

Caring EmpowersLiving in a society that cares for one another and has empathy is good for us all.  We need to work together to help those less fortunate than us to get better.  Shaming those who are poor, coping with mental Illness, struggling with addictions or working two or three jobs to make ends meet lowers everyone’s frequencies.

Rather than standing in opposition to the people who make it clear that they don’t care, we need to stand together to empower ourselves, and not allow them to disempower anyone anymore.

Caring for the wellbeing of other people empowers everyone.  It makes us all stronger.  It is time we stand together and show that caring and doing good to effect change to make us safer and stronger outweighs greed, selfishness, and political power.

Finding positivity is not hard, but it does require action.

Knowing that caring for one another makes us each stronger, we can and should express more empathy for one another.  When we care, we work together to manifest a better world, and when we work to help each other out, we manage to empower ourselves.  When we feel empowered, we often spread that feeling to others around us, and as such can build more positive feelings.  We can use the positive feelings this generates to dissolve negative feelings.  When we take away negative feelings, we open up space to let in positive feelings, and that is something we can be grateful for.  Gratitude leads to happiness.  Happiness is the ultimate positive attitude.  Positive attitude begets positive energy, and that is always a good thing.

How Do We Work Together?

We are stronger when we work together than when we work apart.

Pathwalking may be an individual act, but that does not mean it happens in a vacuum.  Humans are social creatures.  We have people whom we interact with every day on every imaginable level.  Working with each other instead of against one another can take us even further than we might hope.

Work TogetherModern society has an unfortunate tendency to work from a divide-and-conquer approach.  We are inundated with messages of lack, insufficiency, and competition.  We are divided along every imaginable line, from race to gender to height to religion to nationality to education, and any other trait you can conceive of.

Because of the pervasive messages of greed and hoarding, we find it increasingly hard to believe that this is an abundant universe.  When we are told over and over again about how we need to take for ourselves before this, that or the other thing runs out, we become divided further.

I have written before that Pathwalking is not a selfish act, but every path we may be taking is unique to us as individuals.  My paths are not your paths.  Certainly there might be similarities, but they are still not the same.

Most importantly here, though, is recognizing that as we walk our individual paths, and work towards our specific goals, we aren’t denying anyone else theirs.  Me acquiring the things I want from life doesn’t prevent you from doing the same.  That is what living in an abundant universe is all about.

Because we are stronger when we work together, we have the ability to offer each other assistance, support, and love along the paths we traverse.  This empowers all of us, and that is good for everyone.

Work together as individuals.

Celebrating our diversity is a good thing.  We are, each and every one of us, unique creatures.  We look different, we think, feel and act differently from one another.  Yet we are also social creatures, and we are abundant across this planet.

Our diversity is not something that should tear us apart, it should help us to work together.  Celebrating what makes us each unique is an opportunity to learn from one another, and to grow not only as individuals, but as a society.  Celebrating our diversity will let us work together more, and develop abundance.

We will always find things to disagree about.  Again, this is part of human nature.  Empathic people think, feel and act differently from non-empaths.  There are people who work from the heart, and people who work from the head.  People can be emotional, logical, illogical, and everything in between.  The number of things available to separate us are stunning, but are not greater than the number of things that bring us together.

How is that possible?  Because this is an abundant universe.  There is more than enough of all the things we desire.  Lack, greed and insufficiency sells better than abundance and prosperity for all.  I believe this is why we are so frequently bombarded by such.

I wrote about community recently, and how important it is to our wellbeing.  One the biggest and most important communities in my life has experienced matters that made us work together, and soon after new matters that tore us apart.  The former was empowering, despite the sadness and grief that brought everyone together.  The latter stoked anger, division, and intolerance, disempowering us.  Two extremes in far too short a span of time.

It is during these types of situations that we are sorely tested.

Work together as communities.

Why did we form a given community in the first place?  Yes, there are communities we are born into and others we move into.  But there are also communities we choose for ourselves.  Whether it’s a religion, a fandom or social community, those which we choose are chosen because they provide us with something we need or want.  That can encompass a lot of different things, of course.

No matter how much we hold in common, we will have disagreements.  People do stupid things.  Everybody, and I mean everybody, is perfectly imperfect in their own way.  There are times when it is necessary to counter things that happen, and demand action.  So long as there is inaction, protest and positive resistance are called for.

This can take time.  This can divide our communities in unexpected ways.  As such, it’s imperative to be mindful of our words, our thoughts, and our actions.  When we work together we can build better.  When we break apart, everything can, and probably will, crumble.

I am not in any way advocating for accepting something you disagree with.  What I am suggesting is that we need to be more mindful of dividing and tearing ourselves apart.  When we allow ourselves to be broken, we make it ever more difficult to empower, and to build greater things.

Is there a way to work together for change rather than be torn apart?  This is something all-too important that we do not give sufficient energy to.  Consciousness creates reality.  When we are aware, we can manifest almost anything we can imagine.

Be mindful.  Remain aware.  Work together when you can with as many as you can, and we can change the negative messages and make this world a better place for everyone.

Work together to raise frequencies.

The collective consciousness can draw in people who are not conscious creators.  That’s how we manifest things we don’t want, because our focus and attention is to negativity.  When we work together, we can build anything we can imagine.  Did Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. change the message of racial hatred and intolerance with division?  No, he did it by bringing people together.  Buddha and Jesus advocated inclusion and love for one another.  These greats recognized that when we work together, we can make the world a better place.

Choose wisely when you are faced with difficulties, no matter what they are.  Don’t let yourself be divided and conquered by life.

Who do you choose to work together with for the paths you are walking?

This is the three-hundred-eighteenth entry in my series. These weekly posts are ideas for, and my personal experiences with, walking along the path of life.  I share this journey as part of my desire to make a difference in this world along the way.

Why is Community Important?

Community is important.

Because human beings are social creatures, we seek out like-minded individuals to form communities with.  This is where religious groups, civic organizations, and even nations come into being.  People who share one or more interests/beliefs join together and form a community.

Community - Positivity 206We often look at this from a “big picture” sense.  We live in a given community and such.  What I am talking about in this instance is that which we choose to identify with, and what that can mean for us.

I have been actively participating in the Society for Creative Anachronism for over 25 years now.  The overall community that makes up the SCA in-and-of itself is pretty amazing.  Within the group, we form other communities, like among fencers, heralds and artisans.  Some create households, which work much life families, except that you choose the people you include as such.

This is what, I think, community is meant to be.  We come from disparate parts of the world, various backgrounds and education levels, socio-economic statuses, and so forth.  Yet we identify as a part of a broader community.  When there is tragedy, we come together to support one another.

Like any such organization, there are differences.  We have our disagreements.  But when all is said and done, this community is an amazing source of strength, and I have formed some of the finest friendships of my life from here.

The amount of positivity this community is capable of creating is tremendous.  Together, we support one another, and we work to foster an inclusive, fun cultural identity to be shared.

It is not perfect, but then, what in this world is?  We may be the “island of misfit toys”, but often that strengthens the community we build.

The Greater Notion of Community also matters.

We suffered a terrible loss in the smaller community I am a participant of.  We are grieving together, and in our shared experience offering our support to one another in this unfortunate time.

CommunityToday in the USA is Martin Luther King Day.  It is a day to honor a man who worked to change the greater community of a nation to be more inclusive, more equal, more loving.  Because of the blatant racism of our current President, our nation needs to remember now more than ever the effort to build a new and better community Dr. King put forth.

The diversity of our greater community is something to be celebrated.  We have opportunities to learn a great deal from one another, and this is a day to honor that.

Community, whether greater or smaller, should be about sharing love, peace, comfort and joy.  This is a place to build and celebrate positivity together, even when we suffer a tragedy.

To my family in the SCA, I grieve with you for our loss.  To my family that is the USA, I honor our diverse cultures, and will do whatever I can to help build a more equal and loving world like what Dr. King envisioned.

Finding positivity is not hard, but it does require action.

Knowing that community can bring us together, we have a powerful tool to work together to build a better world.  When we come together as a community, we have the opportunity to share a great many things, and when we empower one another in our communities, we empower ourselves.  When we feel empowered, we frequently spread that feeling to others around us; as such, we can build more positive feelings in the collective consciousness.

How Do Your People Create Positivity?

Your people are a huge contributor to positivity.

There is a difference between people, and YOUR people.  People in the general sense of the world, like the population of the planet, can be utterly infuriating.  But YOUR people are those whom you hold close.  Your confidants, family, friends and loved ones.

Positivity 189We all have individuals that improve our lives.  Members of the human race that help us find calm, find happiness and peace and joy.  There is someone out there whom we can turn to for support, whether physical, emotional or spiritual.

We all have tribes we create, collectives of people who we want to make time with and for.  Our clan are the ones we know have our backs, and that we can work with to generate surreal amounts of positivity.

It is important, however, to avoid getting into an “us versus them” mentality.  No two individuals think alike or act alike.  Because of that we need to remember that there is more than enough room for our differences.  Things get messed up, of course, when we develop intolerance between our populations, and fight against one another.

As small as the planet is, there is more than enough room for us all to coexist.  It doesn’t matter what race, nationality, gender, sexual proclivity, religion or what-have-you we consider ourselves a part of.  We can all work together with one another to positively make the world a better place.

Be united, not divided.

Today is the anniversary of a terrible tragedy.  One group who hated the lifestyle choices of another attacked, intent on mass murdering thousands and terrorizing a nation.  Rather than unite in positivity against these negative forces, we have become further divided.  We have allowed them to change our way and deepen the fear-based society’s narrative.

Your PeopleThe “us versus them” mentality continues to be exploited by many of our so-called leaders so that they can divide and conquer.  Don’t believe me?  All you have to do is look at the current political climate.  The President works with nobody who doesn’t feed his ego, and supports negatively divisive groups.  Congress is so divided that they spend more time plotting against one-another than doing anything useful to improve the lot of the nation.

We have our people, but rather than working with our people against others, we need to get our groups to work together.  From there, we have the ability to drive massive positivity.  We can change the message, and change the world for the better.

Finding positivity is not hard, but it does require action.

Knowing that you have your people to commiserate with, you can work with your community to build more and more positivity.  When we work together within our peoples, and then reach out to others to work with them and their people, rather than against them, ultimately we empower ourselves.  When we feel empowered, we often spread that feeling to others around us, and as such can build more positive feelings in the collective consciousness.
