The Ramblings of the Titanium Don

This Is Good Because…

Finding the good in the middle of the bad. The current reality in which we are living is distressing, depressing, uncertain, and confusing as all get out. None of us have experienced something like this in our lifetime. The global pandemic has us taking extreme measures. We are sheltering in place, social distancing, and severely limiting how much time we spend in public, even of necessity. (Or at least – we should be.) Yes, there are some for whom nothing

How Bad is This Crisis?

That depends on whether you believe the crisis is all negative – or could have positivity to it. As I write this, more-or-less the whole of the United States is practicing social distancing. Non-essential businesses are shut down, sporting events and other public gatherings canceled or postponed, and people staying in and maintaining a general self-quarantine. I don’t think anyone has seen such a thing in their lifetime. It’s like life is utterly on hold, and nobody can say for

You Are NOT an Imposition

You are NOT an imposition on anyone else. If you feel like you don’t matter or nobody wants you around – you’re wrong. Let me make this completely clear. Unless you intentionally wreck things, act like an ass, hurt people, or otherwise do unconscionable things – you are not an imposition. Further, you matter and people will want you in their lives. I know a lot of people who question this for various reasons. Some are in reaction to trauma.

Have a Happy Holiday

Have a happy holiday. Whatever you celebrate – or don’t – have a good day! This time of year is overwhelmed by holidays. Lots of people celebrate something, be it Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah, A’phabet Day (or No “L” Day), Grav Mass Day, or what-have-you. There are also people who celebrate nothing at all. Whatever the case may be for you, I want to wish you a Happy Holiday. And even if you celebrate nothing at all, have a good day.

When You Look for Fault

When you look for fault you will find it because you expect it. This weekend, The Rise of Skywalker came out. The 3rd movie of the 3rd Star Wars trilogy had a lot to live up to, and for many of us, it did. Is it perfect? No. Does it live up to the spirit of the series? Hell yes. Many of my friends have seen it, and the vast majority agree it was a fun movie, worthy of the

I Get to Choose How to Feel Today

How I will feel today is up to me It is totally my decision whether positivity or negativity will prevail. Every single day is new and different from the day before. No matter how much of a routine you may have, no two days are alike. Why does that matter? Because it means that every day is a choice. How you will feel today is wholly and entirely up to you to decide. Frankly, I think that’s awesome. Why? Because

Most Decisions Are Not Permanent

This post contains affiliate banner links. For more info, see my disclosures.   Few decisions that we make are truly permanent. I know that, for me at least, on more than one occasion I either made no choice, procrastinated about, or did not fully commit to a decision.  Why?  Because what if I made the wrong one? This is why recognizing that few decisions we make are truly permanent is so important to really living our lives. No matter how

Positivity is Not Selfish, Is It?

This post contains affiliate banner links. For more info, see my disclosures.   Positivity is not selfish. I recognize that in the face of the world today, and all the insanity nationally and internationally, seeking out positivity for yourself may seem like a selfish notion.  With so many people facing adversity, cruelty, devastation, tangible and intangible bad things, doesn’t it make you selfish if you seek positivity and good things? No, because there are limited things we can all do

What is Selfishness?

This post contains affiliate banner links. For more info, see my disclosures.   Selfishness is not what you think it is. This can be particularly challenging, because a great deal of the way in which we perceive our universe attributes much to selfishness.  And while there are certainly some tremendously selfish people out there, much of what people see as selfish is not. I want to begin with a broad definition of what selfishness is NOT.  Selfishness is not taking

You Know This

This post contains affiliate banner links. For more info, see my disclosures.   Positivity is better than negativity.  You know this already. Why?  Because positivity is good.  Good can be applied to any number of things in your life, both tangible and intangible. Negativity is bad.  Bad can be applied to any number of things in your life, both tangible and intangible. When it comes to feeling, I think I can safely say that most of us desire to feel
