How Does Caring Empower?

Caring for others will always increase Positivity.

Human beings are social creatures.  Yes, there are introverts, extroverts, and ambiverts, but we all still have a basic need for some interaction.  Even the most introverted people I know still give and receive care.

Caring and empathy are connected.  I believe that every reasonable person cares when they see others hurting, whether that is hurting spiritually, emotionally or physically.  Empathizing with people going through things can build tremendous positivity.

When we express our care for others, we share with them.  Often, we wind up working together to create something powerful for the greater good.  Caring is how we build bridges, expand our knowledge and capabilities, and better ourselves and those around us.

Last week the United States had another tragic school shooting.  Most reasonable people care that this continues to be a massive problem, even though our government is turning a blind eye.  The people who care want to work to offer more than just “thoughts and prayers”, but to take actual action to ensure that this stops happening.

The survivors of that shooting are working together to change the conversation.  They are pushing to open real dialogue, and start talking about making new laws and effecting some real change.  Many others around the country, showing how much they care about this issue, are offering to support these actions by taking actions of their own.

Manifestation of anything begins with thought.  Then, we need to give it feeling.  From there, taking intentional action can allow for consciousness to create reality.  When we are all caring for one another and looking out for one another, rather than fighting against and opposing, we have the power to do truly amazing things.

Some believe caring is weakness.  They could not be more wrong.

Caring for one another builds everyone up.

Positive energies are higher frequency than negative ones.  Higher frequencies are more empowering to everyone.  Opposition and standing against people and things is often a low-vibration approach.  Empathy, unity, caring and standing for things we want to create is a high-vibration approach.  Consciousness creates reality.  When we focus on the things we don’t want, we create more of them.  Conversely, when we focus on what we DO want, we create more of that.

Caring EmpowersLiving in a society that cares for one another and has empathy is good for us all.  We need to work together to help those less fortunate than us to get better.  Shaming those who are poor, coping with mental Illness, struggling with addictions or working two or three jobs to make ends meet lowers everyone’s frequencies.

Rather than standing in opposition to the people who make it clear that they don’t care, we need to stand together to empower ourselves, and not allow them to disempower anyone anymore.

Caring for the wellbeing of other people empowers everyone.  It makes us all stronger.  It is time we stand together and show that caring and doing good to effect change to make us safer and stronger outweighs greed, selfishness, and political power.

Finding positivity is not hard, but it does require action.

Knowing that caring for one another makes us each stronger, we can and should express more empathy for one another.  When we care, we work together to manifest a better world, and when we work to help each other out, we manage to empower ourselves.  When we feel empowered, we often spread that feeling to others around us, and as such can build more positive feelings.  We can use the positive feelings this generates to dissolve negative feelings.  When we take away negative feelings, we open up space to let in positive feelings, and that is something we can be grateful for.  Gratitude leads to happiness.  Happiness is the ultimate positive attitude.  Positive attitude begets positive energy, and that is always a good thing.

How Does Inspiration Create Positivity?

Inspiration comes in many forms.

Different things inspire different people, of course.  People can find inspiration in any of the five senses.  The taste of chocolate.  A piece of music.  The smell of fresh brewed coffee.  Sunlight in your eyes.  The feel of silk beneath your hands.  That sense of comfort and love from those closest to you.  Any of these alone or in combination can spark the imagination and inspire great things.

InspirationInspiration has been personified throughout history.  The Nine Muses of Greek antiquity, Calliope, Cleo, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore, Thalia, Melpomene, Urania, Erato, and Euterpe, for example.  Each Muse was believed to provide inspiration to writers, artists, great leaders and the like.  Even to this day we use the term “finding my muse” when we speak of a quest for inspiration.

What if, along the way, you become uninspired?  What if you find it hard to be inspired?  If those things that inspired you before no longer hold the magic they did, how can you be inspired?

Everyone and everything changes.  Life today may be similar to life yesterday.  And it might seem the same tomorrow.  But every day is different.  Sometimes this is subtle, such as sun or clouds and ambient temperature.  Sometimes this is not, like an unexpected relationship or some tragic event.  No matter what it is, life is never the same from day to day, even when it feels as though it is.  As such, what inspires you now may not inspire you later.

Because inspiration can come in so many forms you can always find something new.  A new stimulus to the senses can have a different effect on you, and awaken your desire to consciously create your reality.

Inspiration builds positivity.

InspirationInspiration is how our world can be changed for the better.  I has led to the design of monolithic architecture, sculpture, paintings, poetry and grand works of entertainment.  George Lucas was inspired to created the Star War universe.  It was inspiration that led Martin Luther King Jr. to declare to the world “I have a dream,” and Ghandi to seek independence for his nation.

Inspiration is not always so grand.  Feeling inspired can be the reason you get out of bed in the morning.  Inspiration can cause you to clean your home.  You may find yourself inspired to ask that person out and begin a relationship.  Inspiration is what leads you from one path in life to choose another.

We can always seek out and find inspiration.  When we do, we can use this to find, create, and have a more positive, healthy attitude and life.  Feeling inspired may at times seem elusive, but it is always out there, whether it finds you or you find it.

Finding positivity is not hard, but it does require action.

Knowing that we can be found by inspiration or find inspiration of our own lets us awaken possibility.  When we have inspiration, great or small, it can endow us with the ability to open ourselves to wholly new and different experiences, which helps us to empower ourselves.

What Changes Do You Want to Make?

Choosing what changes we make for our lives is a key goal of Pathwalking.

The entire cosmos is in a constant state of change.  I think probably one of the only constants in the universe is that everything changes, constantly.

Human nature seeks stability.  We like to know who we are, where we are, and what we are.  As such, there is resistance to change, which can even get pretty violent at times.  Yet no matter how much we want things to just BE a certain way…they will change.

Why is this true?  Because if everything stayed the same, we’d never grow.  Mankind wouldn’t even exist if the ecosystem of Earth hadn’t changed along the way.  There are numerous points of human history that it is best we left behind as we grew and learned along the way.

Recognizing this truth for what it is would probably make the entire world a far better place.  I know I keep bringing this up, but the current positions of a huge number of American political leaders are entirely founded on undoing already-completed change.  They refuse to accept that you can’t go back, in especial to a time and place that only existed in certain-people’s minds.

Other examples include the whole Brexit debacle in Britain, Islamic State extremists across the globe, and climate-change and science deniers.  They see certain changes as scary, economically unsound, or in opposition to their desires, and resist with obstructionism.  Change is stull occurring, and we all get to choose to obstruct or work with it.

In Pathwalking, we look to make choices for the life we want to lead, and as such choose changes to be made.  It’s important to acknowledge that we can change who we are, what we are, and everything else about our individual lives.

Choosing changes for ourselves is empowering.

I need to do a better job of recognizing that there are many things happening in the world today I can do little or nothing about.  When I get upset about awful things I see happening, my focus goes to negativity, and I disempower myself.  Pathwalking is conscious reality creation, and choosing for myself the life I most want to manifest.

If you are a decent human being, it’s pretty hard to ignore what’s happening to the world at large.  I would not suggest we should ignore it, but we should alter our focus.  Write letters, make phone calls, march in protests, but then work on your own life.  Do the things that will empower you.  Find happiness, joy, and manifest positivity for yourself.

This is NOT a selfish act.  In this fear-based society filled with anxiety, surreal greed and other negatives, it can be challenging to see the difference between selfish and self-care.  When we neglect to care for ourselves, we have far less to give than we realize.  This contributes to stress, dis-ease, illness, and general unhappiness.

I have things in my life I am striving to change.  Rather than just let them happen, I want to choose for myself.  When I work on changes for myself, I am empowered.  When I am empowered, I can do more to empower other people in the world around me, directly or indirectly.

Nobody can change anybody else, unless they allow themselves to be changed.  You can’t help people who do not want to be helped.  But we can do for ourselves, strive to be the best people we can be.  Each of us can choose paths to empowerment, and do more good from those places.

Pathwalking directs changes to manifest better.

Consciousness creates reality.  Rather than just let the world turn around me, I want to have a direct impact on this.  My life is mine, and mine alone.  Yes, I choose to share it in many ways with many different people.  When faced with change, I want to choose for myself where that can and will take me.

I long ago saw three distinct ways to live life.  The first, and most pervasive, is to let life live you.  You go with the flow, things happen around you in their own time, and you do little to choose changes along the way.  The second is to curl up in a ball and wait for death.  This is sometimes literal, but more often than not involves waiting for others to do for you.  It’s about avoiding living in the here-and-now in any number of different ways.  It involves placing lots of blame and letting life totally pass you by.

The third way is where Pathwalking was born.  Grab life like the bull by the horns, and take it for a ride.  You strive to choose what you want for life, decide where to go and what to do.  Changes are made to empower conscious reality creation.  Effort is made to get the most out of life, see if for all its wonders and possibilities.  Live life, rather than let life live you.

There are times this is not easy.  But then, truly, nothing worth having is ever all that easy.  I want to manifest the most joyful, interesting life that I can.  I know that change happens, and even when I am content and want things to just be as they are, changes will occur.  By choosing my paths, I decide the forms this can take.

Make the changes you want for you.

As you are reading this, I am working from Boxhenge.  We are about to move, and this is going to be a pretty big change in my life.  I am moving two hours south, to somewhere rather new to me in many ways.  After over twenty years somewhere within an hour of NYC, now I will be less than an hour from Philadelphia.  Also, for the first time, I will have a full home-office space, and a fairly unfamiliar locale to explore and get to know.

This is both exciting and scary.  It’s a major change, but a welcome one.  We chose it for ourselves.  I can hardly wait to see what new paths will open before me, and what else I can manifest from here.

These are changes I want to make.  I believe they will help me to create the life I most want for myself.  I decided to choose them for myself, and am looking forward to where they will take me.

What changes do you want to make in your life and for your paths?

How Empowering Is Gratitude?

Gratitude has the power to change the world.

There is nothing in the world quite as powerful as gratitude to build positivity.  Expressing what you are grateful for is about as pure a positive act as you can create.  Making a statement about the things you are grateful for is always a conduit of positivity.

Positivity 198 - GratitudeRecognizing the good things we have in our lives and giving thanks for them is incredibly energizing.  It can give us a sense of perspective that is surprisingly easy to forget.  But when we start to give thanks we almost always will find more and more things to be grateful for.

Gratitude can be expressed for the tangible and intangible, material and immaterial, on levels great and small and everything in between.  The act of finding things for which to be grateful can stir a lot of emotions, but these emotions will be positive ones.

It’s important to acknowledge that it’s difficult to make improvements and changes in our lives without being grateful for what we already have.  I know how hard that can be, in especial when we are fighting uphill battles, being inundated by bad news across social media, or dealing with a lot of general negativity.  Nonetheless, expressing our gratitude for the people, places, situations and things already in our lives goes a long way towards finding, acquiring and changing to new and better ones.

How does it make you feel when you hear the words “thank you?”  Doesn’t it feel good to be thanked?  When you reverse that and you are the one offering thanks, doesn’t it feel good to BE thankful?  When you don’t just go through the motions of offering gratitude but genuinely FEEL grateful, it is a powerful source of positive energy.

Gratitude empowers us.

Feeling thankful, grateful, appreciative, or whatever other emotion of gratitude we create is a boost of positivity we are putting out into the world at large.  When we express gratitude for things, we ultimately empower ourselves.  Empowerment is a positive feeling.

GratitudeEvery religion, spiritual guide, new-age or hooky-spooky guru, instructor of self-improvement, and every single concept for how to live life to its fullest employs gratitude.  All of them.  Why?  Because there is nothing as potent as expressing gratitude for generating positivity.  There is nothing like the power of expressing our thankfulness and gratitude to build positive energy and ultimately to find more good and happiness in our lives.

Gratitude for what we have generates positivity.  From there, conscious reality creation will let us manifest almost anything.

Finding positivity is not hard, but it does require action.

Knowing that gratitude is one of the most powerful generators for positivity, we can use this power to improve our lives.  When we are grateful for what we have, tangible or intangible, we empower ourselves.  When we feel empowered, we frequently spread that feeling to others around us; as such, we can build more positive feelings in the collective consciousness.

How Do You Choose To Feel Today?

Do you want to feel good or bad today?  Positive or negative?  Empowered or disempowered?

How do you choose to feel?Despite the insanity of the world at large, or our jobs, or our families and friends, or any other outside influences, WE get to choose how we want to feel.  It’s our decision to feel good or bad, strong or weak, empowered or disempowered.

This feels like a lie, doesn’t it?  Welcome to Monday, the start of the work week.  Oh look at the continued insanity in Washington, DC.  What’s the deal with this unbelievable weather?  End of the month, bills are coming due…overwhelming, right?  Only if you allow it to be.

It’s all too easy to get caught up in this.  Social media is all over bad news, and not just bad news but sad, frustrating, infuriating news.  It’s almost like there is this unspoken challenge to see how angry or sad or otherwise negative they can make people feel.  History says it can go a long ways.

When we allow this to affect us, it can be really difficult to see that we are still in control.  That’s because if we are disempowered, we cede control.  When we cede control, the infamous “they” take it for themselves.

Sometimes it’s really easy to just give in.  All the negativity in media can seriously overwhelm even the most positive person.  We’re bombarded by it, and being emotional creatures, it’s hard not to have it phase us.  Yet the more we allow for the negativity to soak into our psyche, the more disempowered we become.

We can choose how to feel.

I am in no way saying that you’re never going to feel negative feelings.  One of the driving forces of our existence is using a negative thing to inspire a positive thing.  The challenge is not allowing it to overwhelm us.  We can empower ourselves to take these negative things, feel them out, then release them in some form or other.

Choose to feelI know that I sometimes lose track of how I am feeling, and allow negativity to linger.  Holding onto that is going to disempower me.  When I feel disempowered, I will succeed at finding more things to make me feel bad.  Sound familiar?

Take a deep breath.  Allow yourself to feel negativity, let it flow through you, and then LET IT GO.  Release negativity, and do what you can to bring in positivity.  In this way we can empower ourselves, and the forces that strive to disempower us lose their potency.  I know I prefer to feel good, don’t you?

Finding positivity is not hard, but it does require action.

Knowing that we are inundated by negative, disempowering messages, we can choose how to take them in, and whether we allow them to disempower us.  When we feel the disempowering negativity, but choose to release it rather than hold onto it, ultimately we empower ourselves.  When we feel empowered, we frequently spread that feeling to others around us; as such, we can build more positive feelings in the collective consciousness.

How Empowering is Humanity?

Your hate is not more powerful than our humanity.

That was the message delivered soundly in Boston this past weekend.  The protesters from the alt-right, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups were exponentially outnumbered by the counter-protesters.  People standing for unity, for equality, and peace proved they were much, much stronger than haters.

Empowering HumanityThe positivity of this act is immeasurable.  In a time when the fear in our society has been growing continuously, to witness empowerment on that scale provides tremendous hope.

The hate groups have been shown that they will not be allowed to overwhelm us by their use of fear and anger.  They have been shown that we will not sit idly by while they attempt to make us afraid, and we have empowered ourselves counter to their plans.

An object in motion stays in motion.

What has begun here cannot just be allowed to come to a halt.  This is the beginning of the movement, not the end.  This is where we begin to stand up not only to these hate groups, but to those offering them both hard and soft support.

Are you happy with the actions of our government?  Are you willing to accept the President’s constant self-aggrandizing grandstanding and unwillingness to morally lead?  Do you accept Congress’ lack of will to govern EVERYONE and not just their contributors and special interests?  If you want to see change, this is how it begins.  We need to perform more marches, we need to hold sit-ins, and we need to hold rallies.  It should occur not only to resist the haters, but to build momentum towards changing matters for the better.

Empowering HumanityThis is ultimately empowering to us all, and the positivity of that really cannot be stated enough.  We need to expand this energy, and take this empowerment further.  The people need to remind those who are “in-power” that they serve US, and not themselves.  We need to continue this momentum to truly begin to change the world for the better.

It does not matter how we identify ourselves individually – when we work together for the greater good, the empowerment we create is a force to be reckoned with.  Let’s take what has begun here and expand it out.  We can use the positivity of this united front to overcome the fear being used to keep us disempowered.  Hate is not more powerful than our humanity.

Finding positivity is not hard, but it does require action.

Knowing that when we stand up to hate we can overwhelm it with our humanity, we can build from there.  When we use this momentum to continue to build more connections between ourselves, and show haters that they will not overcome our humanity, we empower ourselves.  When we feel empowered, we often spread that feeling to others around us, and as such can build more positive feelings in the collective consciousness.
