Communication Is Never Just Words

Communication styles vary in many ways. It’s never just the words you use. Even the written word can convey a degree of tone, intent, and attitude. Communication is a complex mechanism of expression employed to convey ideas. It’s how you and I can share notions, agree and disagree, and expand (or, frankly, shrink) our overall knowledge base. Communication can be both internal and external. When you are thinking about this, that, or the other thing, you’re communicating in your head.

How Important is Communication?

Communication is the key to connection – both within and without. I would, unscientifically, estimate that 90% of all the chaos, uncertainty, and misunderstanding between the peoples of the world is due to issues with communication. These, like the people themselves, are wildly variable. Some of it is language – both a difference in the language used and comprehension of similar language. I suspect some of it is miscommunication – a lack of nuance, a poorly-stated intention, or general misunderstanding.

Communication is The Key

Communication is the key. When you have a problem with someone, you ultimately have the ability to address them about the issue. We human beings are gifted with a myriad of means to communicate. We can talk, text, use hand gestures and body language, and even a combination of most of these to express ourselves to one another. Reading someone’s emotional state is a lot trickier.  Some people

Positivity: Conversation

It is amazing what you can get from a conversation. It is all well and good to send e mails and letters and text messages to communicate. However, they are no substitute for the interaction and give and take of an actual conversation. You can get to know people on a level that really does not exist in any other format. The delay between messages is non-existent, and the interaction is not just words, but tone, facial expressions, body language,
