The Ramblings of the Titanium Don

Power is an Illusion?

Power is an illusion.

Most of those who are “in power” have either assumed it, been granted it, or otherwise had it conferred upon them in some form or other.  Yet in reality, it is not real.  The idea of power is what generates it, and it is a complete and utter intangible.

Power is an IllusionThere is a difference between power and empowerment.  Empowerment may also be intangible, but it is feeling.  Because it involves feeling, it carries with it a greater ability to build and change.  Frequently, empowerment is in regards to the self, and doing more to improve life.

Further, empowerment is an assumption of power on the part of the individual.  But empowerment is about making the self feel a sense of confidence and strength, assuming control over self-determination, and working from within.

On the other side of the coin, power tends to be about control over that which is without.

This is why power is an illusion.  Because when all is said and done, nobody has true power over anyone nor anything outside of themselves.  The only power that is real is over ourselves.

This is what makes the illusion of power a matter of positivity.  All of these terrible, so-called leaders who are “in power” right now can be removed from that power.  They can be replaced, and we can take away the power they are wielding when we work together to do so.

It is through lack, scarcity and fear that most of these leaders strive to hold power over the collective consciousness.  But as we see the cracks in their personalities and see through to their true intentions, their power wains, and we can see we do not need them, and thus empower ourselves and take it back.

Power is an illusion we choose

I know that it is often hard to believe, but we generally choose to see power in the way that we see it all of our own accord.  Some of this is because of the collective consciousness, and the need of many to cede control of aspects of their lives.  Life is hard, often challenging.  Change is constant, but often scary.  When we cede power to others in regards to controlling aspects of life and change, it can take away certain burdens. Consciousness creates reality.

Is Power an Illusion?Unfortunately, it can also cause unwanted things to be created.  When we allow other people far removed from ourselves to dictate what we can and cannot do with our own bodies, whom we can have relations with, and what religions and cultures are good or bad – we disempower ourselves.  We feed the lack mentality, and we create competition and discord, which they tend to use in order to hold or gain more power.

But because power is an illusion, we can take it away.  When we stand up, speak out, and take actions to effect change, we can cease to allow them power.  Recognizing that they only have as much power as we allow them to have, we can change things.  History is rife with tons of examples of those in power having it taken from them because the illusion was broken.

That is why this is a matter of positivity.  We can fix this, and their power will come to nothing when all is said and done.

Finding positivity is not hard, but it does require action.

Knowing that power is an illusion, we can take actions through our own empowerment to break the spells of the illusion.  When we cease to let those who have taken power remain in power, we can use this to ultimately empower ourselves.  When we feel empowered, we often spread that feeling to others around us, and as such can build more positive feelings.  We can use the positive feelings this generates to dissolve negative feelings.  When we take away negative feelings, we open up space to let in positive feelings, and that is something we can be grateful for.  Gratitude leads to happiness.  Happiness is the ultimate positive attitude.  Positive attitude begets positive energy, and that is always a good thing.
