Everything changes.

This is momentously positive, because given that everything changes, even the worst of circumstances can be improved and positivity can be generated.

Some change is gradual, some is swift. Some is wanted, some is unwanted. Some change is within our control and some is not. Change is inevitable, it is undeniable, and it is a matter of neutrality that is only positive or negative depending on your own perspective.

Does the world seem really terrible at the moment? Like with all the unbelievable racism, inequality, violence and injustice we have been particularly bombarded with of late? Does it feel like our society is being overrun by people taking us backwards from progress? There is a reason for this, and the reason is that our world is changing and this is how those unable to cope with that change react.

Everything changes. Societal change used to occur much more slowly, because we were separated by distance. Welcome to the twenty-first century, where distance has been bridged by the internet and we are only separated by almost no distance at all. We are instantly connected across the globe, and we see a broader, more diverse world beyond simple human comprehension.

Some of us see that and are excited by it. Some of us see the potential for advancement, empowerment, education and peace. But some people see it as a loss of their way, a change in their perception of how the world should be. Rather than embrace that, they become reactionary to it, and they fight to stop it.

Everything changes. The key to this is knowing that we can change with everything. We have the ability to choose for ourselves how our lives will be. As such we can help to build and support the positive changes our society needs. We can see what aspects of any given change are within our control and which are not and focus on positivity. When we focus on positive changes and direct our energies to them, we grow them, and as such remove the power of negativity.

Despite gloom and doom, we can and have changed our world for the better before. Now it just happens faster and is more visible to a wider audience. We can add our voices in support of equality, justice and peace and build and spread more positivity as such. Everything changes, and that means we have the opportunity to change the bad to good and negative to positive.

It is not always simple, but it is inevitable, and it is more within our control than we believe.

Finding positivity is not hard, it just requires action. Knowing that everything changes, we can give our energies and attention to change for the better. When we know and accept that we can have control over more aspects of change, we can work together on change that helps to dissolve negative feelings. When we take away negative feelings, we open up space to let in positive feelings, and that is something we can be grateful for. Gratitude leads to happiness. Happiness is the ultimate positive attitude. Positive attitude begets positive energy, and that is always a good thing.
