The Ramblings of the Titanium Don

Doing, Positivity, and the Life You Desire

Doing opens the door to having. Positivity is a key to that door.

doingDo you have a dream? A goal? Is there something that you really want to make/have/or be in your life?

What are you doing to make it happen?

When I was a kid and saw The Empire Strikes Back for the first time, this line from Yoda always resonated with me:

“Do, or do not, there is no try.”

Yoda was not, by any stretch of the imagination, the first to say this sort of thing. When all is said and done, Shakespeare made the same statement in Hamlet:

“To be or not to be, that is the question.”

Whatever the thing you envision is, whether material or immaterial, you have the power to make it real. As Theodore Herzl said:

“If you will it, it is no dream.”

Action is necessary. Not just any action for the sake of action, but intentional action. When you act, and you DO whatever it is you do with a notion of the journey and the outcome in the process, you are using your mindfulness to consciously create reality. You are DOing and BEing and WILLing your life, shaping your world to the way you would desire for it to be.

Trying, not actually being, and dreaming lack intent. As such, they lack the power to take you where you desire to be. That is why you need to employ your will, and do, and be.

With mindfulness of your thoughts and feelings in the now, this becomes much more possible.

Positivity is a necessity

To manifest anything into existence you need to see it as being. When you doubt or feel it is impossible, you sabotage your power. This is why finding positivity is so important to doing and having a life as you most desire to.

DoingThis is not a question of worth or deserving, because you are. To that simple point, you deserve and are worthy of having the life you feel is most right for you. Because our society is rooted so deeply in fear, lack, and scarcity, you are led to believe that only a certain few are worthy and deserving, because there is only so much to go around.

This is completely untrue. You are living in an abundant universe. There is more than enough to go around for you, for me, for everyone.

I know that I have been afraid to do and be along the way. When I was meditating on this recently, it occurred to me that my single greatest fear, the one that stops me from employing all of my will to do and be, is fear that I will be utterly abandoned.

I have issues with this, and I know it. However, as I really examined what that would mean, I realized that even if I realize my worst fear, and everyone DID abandon me, I could rebuild and start anew. Sure, it would probably suck, but I would still be here, and still have options ahead of me.

Ergo, realistically, it’s a lot scarier to consider living a ho-hum life, not go for it, and always wonder what I missed out on.

Have what you desire to

You are only a victim of circumstance if you choose to be. When you are mindful of what you are thinking and what and how you are feeling you gain the ability to create your life however you most desire to have it.

It takes work, and dedication, and time. There will be good days and bad days. But to live the dream is far more exciting and invigorating than to just wish for it.

All of the quotes at the beginning, when you get right down to it, say the exact same thing. To sum up, this leads to quoting Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation:

“Make it so.”

Finding positivity and creating the life you most desire isn’t hard, but it does require action

Knowing that doing opens the door to having, you can use mindfulness of what thoughts and feelings you have to determine intentional actions to take to build the life you desire. When you act in your own best interest, and strive to live the fullest life that you can, that ultimately empowers you. When you feel empowered, your mindfulness increases, you become more aware overall, and that tends to spread that to other people around you.

As such, you can build more positive feelings and discover more things to feel positivity and gratitude for.

Gratitude leads to happiness. Happiness is the ultimate positive attitude. An attitude of gratitude is an attitude of positivity that begets even more good energies – and that, like you, is always worthwhile.
